Residency Is Not Sovereignty
Most “Australian-hosted” AI keeps your data onshore and sends the thinking somewhere else. Storage residency alone does not decide which law can reach your material — the AU–US CLOUD Act Agreement, in force since January 2026, made that a live boardroom question. Sovereignty is decided by where processing happens and who can be compelled to hand over the result.
Our answer is architectural: infrastructure defaults to ap-southeast-2 (AWS Sydney), and for material that must never be exposed to foreign-law reach we run inference locally, on sovereign hardware — so the prompt, the reasoning and the evidence trail stay inside Australian jurisdiction, not just Australian storage.

Every AIR4T system is the same shape: agents propose, deterministic code decides, a named human holds the gate, and everything lands in a tamper-evident ledger — all inside the Australian legal boundary.
Immutable Evidence Vaults
We use AWS S3 Object Lock in Compliance Mode. Once an intent log is written, it cannot be deleted or altered by any user — including the root account — until its retention period expires. That is what preserves an unbroken chain of custody; whether a record is admitted remains a matter for the court.
